Controls
Tap or click an adjacent tile. Previous and Next select one of the legal tiles; Move tile slides it. Undo reverses your last move. Hint highlights a move on the recorded solution route, or a move back to your previous position.
A tip before you start
Keep a solved row together while using the empty space to cycle the next pieces into place. Moving a tile away from its final position can open a useful route.

Solvable boards that demand more planning
All starting boards are generated by legal moves from the completed picture. Across the twenty levels, the starting distance of tiles from their correct positions rises from two to forty steps in total. That distance is a lower bound on required moves, not a claim that the recorded hint route is shortest. The larger four-by-four board begins at challenge eleven.
