How to play Word Fill In online
- Select a numbered slot by tapping any of its squares. At a crossing, tap again to switch between Across and Down.
- Choose a word of the same length from the visible word bank. It must agree with letters already supplied by crossing words.
- Use every word once and fill all ten slots to finish the puzzle and unlock the next one. Remove or Undo lets you reconsider a placement.
Controls
Click or tap a slot, then a word in the bank. Previous slot and Next slot cycle through the grid; Previous word and Next word change the bank focus, and Place word tries that word in the selected slot. Remove returns the selected word to the bank while preserving letters supplied by other words. Undo reverses the last word change. One-word hint removes one mistaken placement, or fills one correct slot when no placed word is wrong. Pause and Help stop interaction; Restart and level changes require confirmation.
A tip before you start
Start with a length that has fewer available words. Before placing a tempting word, check what its crossing letters would require from the remaining bank. A word can match the current letters and still make a later slot impossible, so use Remove or Undo when a promising route stops working.

The grid and word bank stay together
All ten bank entries remain visible alongside or below the grid in the game window. Placed words show their slot numbers in the bank. You can inspect a crossing, select another slot, and compare the unused words without opening a separate word-list screen. The layout scales for portrait and landscape windows, while Help opens in its own dialog.
A small hint, then the next decision is yours
One-word hint makes only one change. If a placed word is wrong, that word returns to the bank; otherwise one correct word is inserted. It does not fill the rest of the grid. Undo can reverse a hint's word change, but its hint count remains recorded. There is no countdown, and a wrong attempt does not cost a life.
Keep your unlocked puzzles
A completed grid unlocks the next puzzle. When local storage is available, this browser remembers unlocked puzzles, best scores and your sound setting. Reloading opens a fresh first puzzle; select any unlocked level to play it again. An unfinished arrangement is not restored.
