ARM64 vs ARM32 vs x86_64: Choose an Android Game Package

Understand arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a and x86_64, and check the Android ABIs supported by your device.

What the names mean

arm64-v8a is the Android ABI for 64-bit ARM native code. armeabi-v7a is the ABI used for 32-bit ARM native code. x86_64 targets compatible 64-bit x86 Android environments, including some emulators. An ABI describes how native code runs; it is not a game version or a screen resolution.

Check the supported ABIs

Use your device manufacturer’s specifications or a trusted device-information tool. If you already use Android Debug Bridge, the command adb shell getprop ro.product.cpu.abilist reports the ABIs the Android system exposes. A 64-bit processor does not by itself prove that its installed Android system supports every 32-bit or 64-bit application.

Choose the matching package

In MangoFun’s package lookup, choose ARM64 for a device that supports arm64-v8a, ARM32 for armeabi-v7a, or x86_64 when your Android environment lists that ABI. Some modern devices do not run 32-bit apps. Do not select an architecture only because its download is smaller.

Other compatibility requirements

Also check the Android API requirement returned by the package lookup. Required split APKs must belong to the same app version and installation set. Device services, graphics support and regional availability can still prevent a game from working even when its ABI matches.
