How to play Garden Binary online

  1. Select an empty square, then choose Place 0 or Place 1. Shaded squares with corner marks are fixed clues and cannot change.
  2. In a 6×6 grid, every row and column needs three zeros and three ones. In an 8×8 grid, each needs four of each.
  3. Avoid three identical digits in a horizontal or vertical run. Two identical neighbors are allowed.
  4. Keep all complete rows different from each other, and all complete columns different from each other. A row can match a column. Complete the board to unlock the next puzzle.

Controls

Click or tap a square and use the number buttons. Arrow keys move focus, 0 and 1 fill the square, and Backspace or Delete clears it. Enter or Space cycles blank, 0 and 1. C checks, H hints and U undoes. Help opens separately; pause, restart, sound and full screen remain available.

A tip before you start

When a line contains its full quota of zeros, every remaining empty square in that line must be a one. A pair such as 11 also prevents another one immediately before or after it. Recheck the crossing line before committing the next digit.

Twenty original grids with increasing work

Levels 1–10 use 6×6 grids and Levels 11–20 use 8×8 grids. Each new level has strictly more editable squares, rising from 12 to 41. A fixed complete solver also performs more constraint checks at every level, from 51 to 2,291. That measures puzzle constraint work rather than promising how hard every person will find a board.

One solution, four rules

Each supplied puzzle has exactly one solution. Both a row-pattern solver and a separate cell-domain checker verify it. Digits appear on the stones, while shaded cells distinguish the permanent starting clues. This is the classic equal-halves puzzle; there are no plus signs, equality links or Sudoku boxes.

Check, correct and undo

Check highlights immediate balance, three-in-a-row and duplicate-line conflicts. A partial grid without highlighted conflicts may still need revision. Hint corrects one square from the unique solution. Undo restores the last edit and can reopen a completed puzzle; hint use is not refunded.

Play in a compact window

The complete board, status and required actions scale to the game area, with a portrait layout for phones. Opening Help or changing the window size cancels any unfinished pointer selection. There is no time limit, so you can work through each row at your own pace.

Progress saved in this browser

Unlocked levels, best scores and the sound setting save locally when storage is available. Unfinished grids restart on reload. Restart and level changes ask for confirmation, and a storage notice explains when progress is only available for the current session.

Frequently asked questions

May a row be identical to a column?

Yes. The no-duplicates rule compares rows with other rows, and columns with other columns. It does not compare a row against a column.

Can I change a starting clue?

No. The shaded starting digits are fixed. Choose an unshaded square to place, replace or clear a digit.

Does Check prove my partial solution will work?

No. It marks immediate rule conflicts. An incomplete choice may still make the remaining puzzle impossible, even if no immediate conflict is visible.

What does Hint do?

It corrects one empty or incorrect square using the verified unique solution. Undo can restore the earlier square, but the hint remains counted.

Is this Binairo online puzzle game free?

Yes. All twenty levels are free, with no account, timer or download. Win each puzzle to unlock the next.

Is this the same game as Sudoku?

No. Garden Binary uses 0 and 1, equal halves and adjacency rules. Garden Sudoku uses digits 1–9 with row, column and box constraints. Each keeps its own puzzles and progress.
